Athletic Training Education Program Admission to the Athletic Training Education Program is competitive and requires the student to complete an application, separate from the TCU undergraduate admission application. Admission to the program is limited (approximately 10 – 12 students per year). Students are admitted on a rolling basis once they have been accepted to TCU. The number of applicants accepted will vary annually. Applicants are encouraged to submit their application to the Athletic Training Program at the same time they submit their application to the TCU admissions office. See the admission criteria listed below. Transfer students will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Transfer students should contact the Program Director prior to application. To be considered for admission into the ATEP students must submit:
An interview may be required for some candidates prior to admission. Interviews will be scheduled by the ATEP if necessary. Upon admission, students are required to have a physical exam by the TCU ATEP Medical Director; show proof of immunization for hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, and diphtheria; show proof of a current TB skin test; and attest that they meet the technical standards established by the program. Click on the links below to download a copy of the application or visit the athletic training education offices (Rickel 172) in TCU’s Department of Kinesiology for an application.
