Application Admission to the Athletic Training Education Program is competitive and requires the student to complete an application separate from the TCU undergraduate admission application. Admission to the program is limited (approximately 10 – 12 students per year). In order to be considered for Fall 2013 admission, applications must be postmarked by April 1, 2013. All applications received after this date will be considered for Fall 2014 admission. Applicants selected for admission will be notified by mail and must accept the position by May 1, 2013. Admission is competitive and submission of materials does not guarantee admittance to the ATEP.
To be considered for admission into the ATEP students must submit:
Transfer students will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and should contact the Program Director prior to application. Upon admission, students are required to have a physical exam by the TCU ATEP Medical Director; show documentation of immunization for hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, and diphtheria; varicella (or documentation of history of the chicken pox); show proof of a current TB skin test; and attest that they meet the technical standards established by the program.
